• Soil: loose, chunky aroid mix of peat, orchid bark, perlite and coir or sphagnum in roughly equal parts
• Feed: light balanced liquid fertilizer during active growth

A hybrid of Philodendron tortum and P. wendlandii, and slower than most Philodendrons, so it won't outgrow its spot before you're ready. An accessible way into collector hybrids.

Fresh out of the box: give it 1–2 weeks to settle. A droopy leaf or a slow week is normal travel drama, not a death sentence.

Cold weather: heat packs are required November through February for the live arrival guarantee. Outside those months, if any stop on the route from California to you could drop below 50°F, add a heat pack. Plants are dramatic about frostbite, and honestly, fair.

Live arrival guarantee: if your plant shows up in rough shape, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery. For an eligible claim we may provide a replacement when available, a refund to the original payment method, a partial refund, store credit, or care and recovery instructions when the issue is cosmetic or reversible. Heat packs are required November through February for the guarantee. Orders over $100 ship UPS or USPS with shipping insurance. Orders usually ship within a few days, Monday through Wednesday, so plants never sit in a carrier warehouse over a weekend (we may make an exception if you're close by, likely to receive it by Saturday, or the weather along the route is mild). Full shipping and refund policies are on our website. Every plant is nursery grown in California.

A loose, chunky, well-aerated aroid mix — peat base with orchid bark, perlite, and coarse coconut coir or sphagnum moss in roughly equal parts. Target pH 6.0-6.8.

Not cold hardy. Keep as a houseplant below zone 10.
