Yes, plenty of our plants are non-toxic to cats and dogs. Carnivorous plants eat bugs, not curious pets, and every plant on this page is confirmed non-toxic. Here's our vet-conscious lineup, hand-picked so you don't have to cross-reference every label yourself.
What if my cat eats one anyway?
For the plants on this page, mild stomach upset is the most likely outcome. If you're ever unsure about a specific plant, contact your vet or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center.
Are carnivorous plants safe for dogs?
Yes — the plants here are non-toxic to dogs too. The bigger real-world risk is a curious pet knocking the pot over, not eating the plant itself.

The plant was packaged suspended in the middle of the box held up my tape! What a genius way to make sure your baby doesn't get crushed. There was plenty of water surrounding the plant wrapped within plastic to assure a wet arrival. One or two ends were dead but the rest was absolutely great.
absolutely beautiful! it came well packaged and was in perfect condition. I have over 20 stalks! Great deal!
