Quick facts

• Light: partial shade to full sun. More sun, brighter color; cooler temps bring out more pink
• Water: soak, then dry completely
• Summer: dormant. Go easy on the water until fall
• Soil: fast-draining cactus mix with perlite, pumice or coarse sand

Grown outdoors in California sun. Aeoniums root fastest in the cool months, fall through spring.

Fresh out of the box: cuttings ship unrooted, with no soil, already dried and hardened so they're ready to root. After days in the dark they may drop a few leaves or lose some color. Pot in well-draining cactus mix and keep out of harsh direct sun until rooted. You'll know it's rooted when a gentle tug meets resistance.

Cold weather: heat packs are required November through February for the live arrival guarantee. Outside those months, if any stop on the route from California to you could drop below 50°F, add a heat pack. Plants are dramatic about frostbite, and honestly, fair.

Live arrival guarantee: if your plant shows up in rough shape, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery. For an eligible claim we may provide a replacement when available, a refund to the original payment method, a partial refund, store credit, or care and recovery instructions when the issue is cosmetic or reversible. Heat packs are required November through February for the guarantee. Orders over $100 ship UPS or USPS with shipping insurance. Orders usually ship within a few days, Monday through Wednesday, so plants never sit in a carrier warehouse over a weekend (we may make an exception if you're close by, likely to receive it by Saturday, or the weather along the route is mild).
